Question Rover 75 1.8 AUTO Saloon - Cigarette Lighter not working

Hi All,

First of all, Hello! to everyone. I'm new here.

Rover 1.8 AUTO Connoisseur (saloon). Cigarette Lighter not working because of which I cannot use my beloved GPS receiver (to charge it).

Search a bit on the forums and google and dove into the User Handbook; no idea what to do.

Can anyone help?
Thanks

it must have blown a fuse if it has one tho i thought it was a direct feed without one could be .also depends on the cars year as i think they changed all that .however the cars ciggie lighter socket is not meant to be used as a power socket it has in some cases been used as such and the plug has jammed or welded itself in to it.i and others have fitted the proper accessorie socket which fits in center cosole under the armrest.these are still about the wiring sadly not but any decent auto electrician or yourself will be able to do it

Thanks, suffolk boy and payner75t. It was a blown fuse in the passenger fuse compartment underneath the glovebox. It was a 15A fuse. I used the spare fuse which was present in the same compartment on the right side.

BTW, do you have any idea from where I can order extra fuses for my car?

Any car spares shop will stock fuses. They are not car specific. Halfords do a selection box for a couple of quid which is useful to have in the car.
