Default TPMS Unit

Hi

I will soon be fitting external TPMS unit and connecting to my Star. Has anybody any experience fitting these. The instructions are in Chinese and the pictures are not too clear. Not too sure if a specific sensor has to be fitted to specific wheel or are they paired after fitting. I am also struggling to see in which order washers and nuts etc are fitted onto tyre valves.

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Alan

The TPMS for the Star is Plug Screw and play
Sounds like a naughty movie !
There is a dedicated port for the TPMS
Plug there
Screw the Sensors to the valves and Play !

Thats it

Cheers

Hi Jeff,
I'm in Email contact with Sean since a couple of weeks, but we haven't found a solution.
I'm using the Star with DAB Receiver and as you know the DAB App doesn't work with the DSP from the Star. So the sound of that DAB Receiver is very poor.
I have fitted a subwoofer and all other Apps like FM Radio, MP3 Player and IPhone connected on USB are working well with it.
Sean emailed me that possibly you do have a solution for this problem?

Cheers
Muck

Hi Muck,

You are correct in that any USB connected device doesn't work with the head unit equaliser but I can't say I'm suffering bad sound from mine.
I would say it's on a par with any other USB connected device so can't really offer you a solution .

My system is pretty well matched speaker and amp wise anyhow so I don't use much in the way of EQ lift or drop.

When you say yours sounds bad.....in what way?
Do you mean distorted sound or just flat sounding ?
If the former then something doesn't seem right, if it's the latter then maybe an adjustment to the amps sub settings will at least restore the bass side of things.

I know that doesn't help much but not much else I can think of unless you get an active processor/equaliser and run the door speakers off an amp as well

Hi Jeff, thanks for your answer. The sound from DAB Radio is absolutly flat. But if I connect my IPhone via USB using IPod App the subwoofer works perfectly. So it may be not a problem of USB connected units, but a problem of the DAB App??!!

Cheers

I only use the Pre amp outputs and find the sub will not work with any of the aftermarket apps and this includes the DAB one. They all seem to bypass the equaliser.

Obviously nobody can help to solve the problem with the DAB App.
So for me it doesn't make sense to keep the DAB Receiver - if anyone is interested in a nearly unused DAB Receiver please feel free to contact me under the email: [email protected]

Default Factory Settings

Hi All I get about 100 emails a day and in many cases they involve factory settings and there seems to be some confusion and also I have a feeling some are experiencing issues because of incorrect settings

As we ship all over, i cannot say for each what they should be but I think they are obvious so please have a look below to see if there are any settings that you have not tried that may resolve or weak your STAR.

Cheers and thank you to all
Sean

How to get into factory settings

Go to APPS>SETTINGS> SCROLL DOWN TO ABOUT MACHINE Or Device

Once in there you will see this screen, touch the WRENCH at the top line on the right

Enter Password 1260 on the Pop Up and enter

Once in
