I agree with SD1too, definitely the dreaded traction control unit.

So....after many many many months I have managed to change the traction control unit. It was really hard to get acces to it so I managed to do so when I have changed my steering rack. Now it's another problem, I press the under-climate cruise control button, the light goes green, then I press the steering wheel button , the yellow light goes ON for 1ms and then turns OFF instantly. I have repeated this process a couple of times, the same. It seems like its turning off almost instant ( my feet where not touching the pedals ) . Any ideeas? . Fuse is ok and I can hear the relay behind the glove box working.

Alex,
Traction Control and Cruise Control are two different systems. In your first post you said that the Cruise Control 'set' speed could not be maintained. Now you're saying that it cannot be 'set'. I'd say that you should follow my initial advice to check the Cruise Control vacuum hoses (post no. 5). Don't get mixed up with Traction Control! Simon

My bad, I was dead tired last night and mixed traction control with cruise control . It's the cruise control I`m having issues with; when I changed the cruise control actuator I did an eye check on the other components and everything seemed fine but I`m gonna recheck in the following days. Normally, when it activates, is there a relay sound? A can hear a click-clack from behind the glovebox

Is your ABS system working properly? The NSF wheel sensor is needed for the cruise control. Simon

Yes, my ABS is fully functional, never had an issue with it. Cruise Control is the only option not working on my car and it buzzes me off
