Default Kv6 Cruise Control

Hello, I have a problem with the cruise control. I press the buton under the climate control, it goes green then I press SET and the yellow light in the instrument panel comes ON but the car is decelerating. My car is a 2003 r75 2.5 v6 auto. Where should I start looking for a problem?

Does the orange light stay on or go out?

Well, the electrical side seems to be activating Alexander so I would inspect carefully the vacuum lines between the pump assembly and the actuator.

I had a similar problem which turned out to be caused by the vacuum actuator which had become detached from the control lever. fortunately a very easy fix.

I did some investigation and found the following. Behind the engine,in the left corner, that is the cruise control actuator right? There is a hose with a cable inside that goes to the accelerator body ( I think ) and that hose is cracked and moving all over the place. I will take a photo today. Could that be a problem?

That looks like traction control Alexander.

The cruise control actuator is just in front of the throttle body on the engine side. It looks like a distributor vacuum advance unit with an operating linkage attached.

If you follow the vacuum tube from this across the top of the inlet manifold chamber it will descend towards the cruise control pump which is below the unit which you have photographed.
