Default Our visit to the Parrot Zoo, the Humber Bridge & Eden Camp

Had an absolutely fantastic weekend, we decided to make our trip up to North Yorkshire for the national a weekend thing. Took a trip up to Lincolnshire yesterday to visit the parrot Zoo/Lincolnshire wildlife park. We'd visited before and loved it so thought we'd go again If you're a bird lover it's a fantastic place to visit, their open aviary is great, take in some millet and the various birds (conures, ringnecks, budgies, alexandrine parrots etc) just fly over and sit on you Took plenty of photos, here's some of them

Travelling from Lincolnshire to Hull where we had our overnight stay gave me the chance to see something I've wanted to visit for many years but never had the chance to until now. Wow what an amazing structure it is! The sheer size of it is enough to take in alone. Had to make the most of the opportunity to snap some shots of my ZT in front of such a stunning background, and also my girlfriend

Then from there on Sunday morning it was a trip up to the Eden Camp for the national meet to day which was fantastic and a great turn out. We're really glad we traveled a little over 250 miles to attend it Came home with a new TV and second place for the best ZT nomination was absolutely gobsmacked.

Overall, we traveled just under 500miles this weekend and spent just over 9 and a half hours on the road, and the ZT didn't miss a beat. That's the great thing about our cars, not for a single one of those miles did I feel bored, uncomfortable or felt any aches from driving such long distances, just all smiles the whole way

Just like to say a big thank you to everyone that voted for my pride and joy today, it's such a great feeling when all the work you've put in is liked by fellow members and owners really means a lot.

Terrific photos, very impressed and congratulations on the well deserved award.

Knowing some of the cars that were in attendance, the overall standard was very high to say the least.

Default Tigers

Are the tigers still at the Parrot Zoo? A mother and a couple of Tiger cubs there when we visited with our grandchildren.
Parrots are fantastic aren't they? Never seen so many parrots and all rescue birds! Amazing place.

Meerkats pretty funny too!
Hope you enjoyed your visit as much as we did

Nice pictures Rick, especially the ones of the Humber Bridge which brought back some special memories for me. I was born in Hull and my father who has long since passed on worked on the building and erecting of the bridge for many years. My mother has a framed picture of them both with the Queen on its official opening .

Hi Rick, great photo's, can I ask what camera you are using? I do a bit of photography myself and I was going to suggest trying some overlay shots next time too.

With the colour of your car and a good rolling cloud sky you'd be amazed the effect you can create. Set the camera up for a HDR or 3 shot take. Basically you set the camera to take 3 sequential shots, one proper exposure, one 2 stops over exposed and one 2 stops under exposed. If you have photoshop, you can then layer each picture onto the other. If you have a Canon, download their "Digital Professional 4" free program and use the HDR tool included. It will show you a whole new light

Here's one I did as an example of Tenby in HDR, or have a look at my photostream on Flikr (search Sean Alabaster)
