Flip key for R75 & ZT
Hi,
There's a guy on .org who I now believe may have joined here. He's been making up flip keys for the different MG Rover brands. Looks as though the member gets the case made to suit all the existing circuit boards. At the moment before looking into doing this he's looking for numbers which this thread is about & of coarse any issues members may know of or can think. I must add this adventure has nothing to with me I'm only trying to help out by getting an idea of numbers for the member. Funnily enough almost the first thing I did when I got my 75 was to look for a flip key. I'd love one.

I've already find a flip key for our cars and I'm now in the process of requesting the final changes to the manufacturer so that they came with MG and Rover logos.
Here are some photos of the prototype, that I've been testing now. I'm hopping the final product will be available between the end of January or February. |

What price are you planning to put these up for and how will this work? ( i.e. do we send you a key to be modified?)
The key looks great by the way. |

For now I'm not going to reveal the prices, but I can assure that it will be pretty fair one. The only thing you will have to do it's open the standard key fob and switch the electronic and chip to the new one. No modifications are required. And of course you will have to go to a locksmith to cut the new blade. |

My apologies AndreRijo
I didn't realise there was a member already looking at this. Think it will be a popular modification. I'd be interested for both my ZT's price dependant of coarse. |

No problem and no need to apologize. It's the first time I mentioning this to public knowledge. I was keeping it for myself until I've got the final product, but once you talk about this subject I have to step up and reveal what I have discovered and sourcing for our cars. I just need the club members to be a little patience, the final product it's almost done! Last edited by AndreRijo; 23rd December 2012 at 23:13.. |
