Default Silver '03 Diesel 75 Tourer - Reluctant sale **SOLD**

Sorry - *** SOLD ***

I'm sadly putting my sliver 2003 75 diesel Tourer Club up for sale. She's been a good car in the 3 years I've owned her but it's now time to part company - I have a new car and wifey won't let me have 2 . I want her to go to a good home (the car, not wifey - she's already got a good home!) where she'll get the attention she deserves.

It's pretty much standard other than a Synergy 2 unit and the Synergy Button fitted with a Pierburg MAF, and the EGR bypass mod. There are some niggles that would be easy to fix but I simply don't have the time at present.

Looking for offers around £600. REDUCED

Details:
  • 2 owners from new, including myself
  • 2.0 Diesel
  • 138,000 miles
More Details:
  • All 4 Injectors replaced earlier this year - £1000
  • All 4 Disks replaced 2 years ago during a service
  • CAT replaced last year due to damage by a very high speed bump.
  • Alternator and battery replaced 2 years ago.
  • Plenums drained regularly
  • All filters inc. PCV filter changed regularly - last done in June
  • MOT till June 2015
  • Last serviced at same time as MOT
  • Tailgate and roof rails do not leak.
  • Tyres still have plenty of meat on them.
  • Plates replaced recently, old ones included in sale for your records.
  • Rear road springs replaced in the last years
  • Suspension bushes replaced last year
  • No damage to the upholstery. Seats all in good condition.
  • Lots of paperwork, reciepts, etc.
The Honest bit:
  • One of the keys has wandered off, if I find it I'll forward to the new owner.
  • 2 driver-side door locks have stopped unlocking remotely but lock ok.
  • There are a few small scratches and scuffs to the paintwork.
  • 2 small dents on the nearside bodywork. Probably fairly easy to pull out.
  • Couple of chips in the windscreen - filled, not MOT failures.
  • There's a buzz that appears at 1500rpm and goes at 2000rpm. Been there for 3 years. I think it's the exhaust but mechs cant find anything. Doesn't bother me as I'm on the motorway most of the time. <edit> Appears to be a known issue - roof buzzing against the ribs under the headlining.</edit>
  • I trapped the drivers seatbelt buckle in the door a couple of weeks ago and its taken a bite out of the inner door seal.
Nice car in pretty good condition; comfortable and drives well; runs nicely; used for my daily commute on the A1 - 75 mile round trip. Not often used round town so engine always gets nice and warm and has a good run. Not thrashed - I'm a careful driver.

It is what it is. Make me an offer. Any questions or want further info PM me.

Silver button to the RHS of the gear knob is the Synergy button.

The buzz will be your roof skin resonating on the spars sitting 2mm below it.
(well known fault with Tourers without sunroofs!!)

Many main agents replaced exhausts to no avail when these were new.

To confirm:
Try pushing the roof lining upwards just behind your head when vibration occurs.

The cure is to remove the roof lining and pack the spars with silicone sealer.
Half a days work.

Let me know your findings

Ahhh - so!
Will have a go.
Will let you know.

(That's poetry, that is!)

Seems to be the back, LH side. Will let you know how it goes.

It appears to be back LH side and that's why dealers including main dealers used to change the exhaust to no avail.

I assure you the noise will be coming from exactly where the sunroof would have been !!!
Press the headlining upwards while resonance is present and you'll notice an instant cure

Similar to one i looked at on Wednesday. I was looking for some tips from a member and wishfully hoping someone will hold my hand

Yours has that funny rectangular hole in the dash also My best guess was a fingernail trimmer/polisher?

I presume the synergy is a tuning box? Got any pictures of the N/S?

Plates replaced recently? Can you explain that to me? Not seen that so far?
Whats the score on having one key? I spotted a post that said dont keep cranking
if you have a low battery because it can erase the key.
How hard is it to get another and cost?

I presume there is no FBH on your car?

Sorry for all the questions but im new to the 75 scene and dont want my first to be a lemon.

Thanks.

Don't know what rectangular hole you are n about, but the answer to the other questions, plates, will likely be clutch plates ,pressure and friction ,a second key can be programmed to your car by any of the T4 operators, mainly Marimabrian,Big Russ,Phil-T4. Do a search in the members list, for any of them ,and their profile signature will display services provided.
Have a look here for starters

Number plates are often changed for cosmetic purposes.
As stated in the ad the old ones are with the car ?
