Cool Banana off up North...........................

................................................to morrow for one of her scheduled trips. Be off to the Gretna Green meet on Sunday, via RPWC's house, hopefully he will be able to come out to play!!!!!

Staying at the Keelman's Lodge in Newburn, Newcastle on Tyne for 3 nights. They have a pub and brewery on site so I'll not be venturing too far away tomorrow evening. Need a nice beer after this very trying week.

I'll do some sight seeing on Saturday depending on the weather. Would not mind going back to Duns again to the Jim Clark museum. One of my motor racing heroes. But there are a few other places I would like to go to as well, wait and see about the weather. And visit that very nice car wash before returning to the pub for dinner.

So Banana has had a wash n polish. All fluid levels have been checked, tyres pumped up and the tank filled up with Banana Juice. Music loaded onto a memory stick, saves me singing to myself.
Bringing Rav's boot liner up, collected from Keith24 about 6 weeks ago.

So if you should see us, give us a wave, toot or flash those lovely restored headlights. Be travelling up the M11 then onto the A14 and onto the A1.

Hope you have better luck on the A14/A1 in Cambridgeshire than I did yesterday. Nightmare city !! First they closed the A14 at Huntingdon for 6 hours to fill in a pothole, then two lorries collided at Brampton Hut in the diversion (one driver sadly died), then coming south from Peterborough on the A1M in the afternoon they seem to have shut the northbound carriageway for a 'stinger' operation with massive tailbacks down towards Black Cat roundabout in Bedfordshire. We thought we would delay our homeward journey from Bedford until the evening, hoping the traffic would have cleared - no such luck !. At 8.00 pm in the evening they shut the northbound A1 between Brampton Hut and Alconbury for overnight road works. We had to divert round the back roads between St Neots and Huntingdon to get home - all clogged up with long queues of traffic !!

Safe journey !

Pete

Thanks for the heads up.

I'll check the traffic in the morning and might go around the 25 and straight up the A1 instead, cut the A14 out altogether.

I'm hoping to see George plus a few other people who are not on the forum. I'll be sure to pass on the regards from the Chill Out Team.
