And I always let it warm up before pulling away, and let it power down before taking the key out.

Even the radio has a mind of it's own constantly searching for the station I'm actually listening to. Only had it fitted, as I had won it at the National last year.

it's in Banana so not sure if it needs the wiring checked or I need a new arieal.

Hi Bob,

You need to make sure that your old route was cleared before doing a new route.
If it hadn't 'arrived you' on your previous route it will then add the new route keeping the previous one as a waypoint!

With regards the radio re tuning, make sure the AF (alternative frequencies) function is switched off

Hi Jeff,

Unfortunately I can't do any of that now as the head unit is malfunctioning as per this thread: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=254758

I have just purchased my new Rover 75 1.8t with an igo sat nav. I've never had or used one of these before. I have worked how to get my maps up but there is no sound prompts. Have been into settings but this does not resolve the problem any suggestions out there please.

Hi All,

In an attempt to fix this rebooting problem I have tried the following: battery disconnected 3 times, front panel reset, factory data reset, and a firmware reload courtesy of Sean.

I make sure that the unit has fully booted up before engaging the reversing camera, and never switch the engine off until the unit has shut down.

But still the unit continues to self reboot every so often, and comes back to the home screen. Most annoying.

Any help please before I pull out what is left of my hair?

Regards

Tom.

If its still under warranty (12 months from point of sale), contact the supplier for their opinion.. If its not then I'm afraid you maybe stuck with it.

Tom,

Maybe a long shot but today i was reinstalling my Navall 3 and initially it powered up no problem, I was putting back the last screws and reattaching the aircon console and it rebooted all on its own. It has not done that since i first installed it many moons ago. I pulled out the unit had a play around then it would not boot up at all..

In the end i took it out completely and checked the plugs on the back, secure. I then checked the harness plugs buried deep in the console and found that one of the two plugs was loose. Pushed it back in and bingo its working again no problem.

Might be worth checking the harness plugs and the adapter unit buried deep in your console as the unit maybe rebooting after the power cuts out due to loose connection.

Default ipod

And to add to your list.
Have you got the ipod lead in the back of your unit .
Reason I ask is I found mine was hitting the bulkhead and that played up a little on my unit .
Also I think you have the dab+ on your system.
If you can live with out it for a bit.and can reinstall after.
May be worth uninstalling this and just using the fm radio.
On this one I'm guessing but this also seemed to make the radio play up.
Even after the firmware reset.
But on the plus side I now most of the time turn mine off first before the car.
And I can say after a week of doing this I have had no problems.
And also found out on mine that even when the radio is off if I put the car into reverse I get the reverse camera come on.
Stick with it. You will get it sorted.

Didn't even know that there were harness plugs in the console I'll give that a try if I can find them.

Firstly I did have an ipod lead in the back and in trying to get the head unit to seat far enough back I broke the lead so am now using the sd card for music.

I don't have dab+ on my unit and on the odd occasion that I listen to the radio it's the old fashioned fm.

So can't think what else to try.

Regards

Tom.
