Basically the egr remains clean and so does the manifold (if you have cleaned that out too).

Buying a bypass is simply a waste of money. The benefits you will get by straight through flow of air are negligible.

Does this bring up an error on the T4 then for EGR not functioning correctly?
thanks

I cannot speak for T4 (but a T4 expert probably could), however it doesn't log a fault nor does it bring up any warning lights as the screw in the end of the vac pipe mimics the egr action and creates a vacuum (when requested) thus the engine brain I presume still thinks the EGR is connected.

I imagine if T4 does log an error then the same error would be logged if a bypass was fitted.
