Default Fog lights loom YMD001080

Hi guys, in need of a little help, I am trying to fit fog lights to my 2002 tourer but the second hand kit I purchased came with a loom YMD001080 this has 5 plugs and a kind of sensor, I know which fit the fogs but no idea how the rest fit, is this already on my car, if so how I find it, any help much appreciated.

Hi there thanks for info, what I am looking for is where does this loom run from in other words where does the power connector plug into, I am using it to power fogs, so as I understand it we have two connectors for side lights, a temp sensor, two for fogs and the power, any idea where the power is from, and how to get to the side lights.

Front corner of engine compartment, left hand side, behind/under the headlight, it replaces the existing connector and loom.

IIRC, they're negatively charged. One power feed in the plug that powers everything and then the negative terminal is connection/disconnected dependant on requirements. Therefore there is no separate power for fog lights. To be fair, it's a clever solution that reduces the need for excessive wiring.

If you're looking to add the fog lights, easiest way is to replace the old loom with the new one and plug it in. Then you'll need the relay which goes into the engine bay fusebox and then replace the switch panel on the light switch module (LSM - where you turn your lights on/off, for one with a front fog light switich). All other wiring is in place and no T4 needed.

Just make sure that you keep your original LSM as this is coded to match the car. The front panel of it unclips easily.

It is a six pin connector with the 12v switched feed to each indicator and fog lights, Earth, and two cables to the air temperature sensor.

anyone reading this that has a mk2 there is a slight difference. if you have a loom that does not include the temperature sensor. you will also have a single wire from the fog light loom that goes to the fuse box. there is also a plug on the loom that fits as advised above

Thread moved to a more appropriate forum. Re-direct left in old. This may be the better forum as threads get ‘lost’ very quickly in the General Forum.
