Default Heated seat covers.. Ordered one to see how it is!

I miss my heated seats from my previous 7 series and my current E60 M5!

But, as that's stored away for the winter months, I wanted to see what I can do with the ZT without having to retrofit the OEM seats OR take the current ones apart to fit the aftermarket elements you can buy

I've bought one, for now, heated seat cover from Amazon, in grey to match the Alcantara my current seats have, to see a) how it is/works and b) whether it'll work as I'd like!

They all seem to have mixed reviews, but this one seems to have the most good reviews etc...

The poor reviews are people whining about them being for LHD cars and with a short cable that doesn't stretch to the 12V socket etc...

So, I've ordered the seat cover, an extension for the 12V socket and a multi-socket for the 12v charger socket etc...

Plan is to run the extension under the central console (well, push it under for now) and have the connections under the seat etc...

Further plan is to see if I can lift the centre console out and then attach the multi-socket adapter into the cubby (it get's used for nowt else) and then run things from there...

Has anyone done anything similar or fitted another 12v socket/adapter into the central cubby box?

These are the bits I've ordered:

I bought myself a heated seat cover from Aldi last year for about £10 I think. I like it, 2 heat settings, plugs into the cigarette lighter, and protects the seat from anything I've got on myself after work.

Mines mainly for my aching back before & after training

I like to get to the gym somewhat pliable and not stiff as a board and found the heated seats really helped!

I've retired from competing in weightlifting, but still train and I coach now too, so I'm more or less at the gym every afternoon!

Plus, it'd be nice to have a warm seat to be on and it's something to faff with haha

We bought the Lidl version last year - about £10. Wasn't expecting much but it has actually been excellent.

I bought one of these from Aldi a couple of weeks ago for £9:99. Absolutely brilliant, chuffed to NAAFI breaks with it

They only sit on the front of the seat and have basic elastic straps, so can't see them causing any issues with the airbags

Default rear heated seat?

Hi there,
Whilst you're on the subject, has anybody fitted rear heated seats? The kids in the back are jealous when I put the heated seat on in the front. They asked me to put the rear seats on and when I told them only the front seats are heated they asked me to get someone to fit it in the rear.

'Heated seats in the back for the kids', cannot believe that one!
