hi to all,

i picked my new car up on saturday and im so happy with it. it is a 190 ztt in bright red clothes.
i was very impressed with the garage where i got it from, they were very friendly and they told me it had a mot but they got a recommendation on the front brakes which they didnt have to tell me about, well its booked in next week and there doing the discs and pads free.......and they also put 2 front tyres on and a tow ball assy free as well.

just 2 problems with it so far....when i press the clutch in it makes a noise. the only way i can describe it is when you turn the ignition off and take the keys out you can hear some motors inside the dash, well it sounds like that, i know its a crude description but its only doing it when you press the pedal down. is that normal?

and secondly ONE OF THE DRINKS HOLDERS ISNT WORKING!!!!!where do i put my coffee
this weekend im going to be towing the caravan so ill see how that goes with mpg etc....as i have never towed with a car before so i hope it goes alright, thats if my extended wingmirrors fit?

overall, im very happy!

To the Club Lee.

The noise you are comparing to is the Light Leveling motors.
I take it you require a Drivers side cup holder?
These are normally available through XPart rather than the stupid prices on EBay, but may be out of stock at present.
Someone will be along Later with help on your Clutch noise, one of the Advantages of driving Automatics!

Welcome to the club... I've no Idea about the clutch but there probably isnt a drivers side cup holder, it just looks like that to make it symmetrical.
hope to see some pictures soon.

And I was doubly beaten to it because I such a slow typist...

Clutch could be as simple as the pedal itself rubbing on it's hinge. As you've only just bought the car then get the garage to check it out. They should offer without quibbles.

My Clutch "clunks", but I can't be bothered to splash a bit of WD40 about. Although I might do that this weekend.

An excellent group of people on here! Always helpful, and very very friendly!

Cheers,

No, this was due to almost all being disintercrumbled by drivers left knees and referred for warantee claim. They are really just in the way unless like me you are vertically challenged and can avoid hitting them.
