Sat Nav Fitting
Hi,
I was thinking of fitting the bona fide Rover sat nav to my tourer, do I need an external gps antenna, if not where is it located. Thanks. |

For the Tourers I do believe you need the "shark fin" type of aerial. Someone more knowledgeable in the OEM SatNav will be able to assist better shortly.

It is indeed the Shark Fin Antennae for the Sat Nav for Tourer.
You most Probably are aware, That besides the 4:3 or 16:9 (from E46 BMW) Head Unit you will also need a Sat Nav Computer either MK3 or MK4 (DVD),The Sat Nav Map Disc, a TV Tuner (which gives the Video output for screen) The Radio Tuner or BMW BM24 A Wiring Loom and a bit of work. Some have done this Retro Fit and there are How To's and Threads on this. |
