Cool Banana back into……………….

…………………. Workshop with a oil leak. Possibly the power steering. Not sure till it is investigated. I cannot see from underneath, well looking under the bumper. But there are oil deposits on the road.

Thinking of taking her off the road altogether and getting everything sorted out all in one go. I still get a thrill of driving Banana every time I take her out. I have never had a car like this one, she is so special.

We have three epic drives coming up and she needs to be in tip top condition. Plus I’m hoping to get up to Scotland this year. Plenty of friends to meet up with again, and I want to get to John O’Groats again. Homeward would be via Newcastle to meet up with a couple of very special friends, plus a few beers.

Banana likes to test you Bob (probably jealous of the Lotus kit at the 'mo), but you're more than up to the challenge.

There couldn't be a better owner in the world for the yellow one!

Sorry to hear about your, or at least Banana’s oil leak. These things are sent to try us.i am sure it is only a minor irritation to some folk, but we like our cars to be oil tight and fancy free. Once you get it all tidied up, you will sail anywhere you want to go with the normal flamboyance that Banana is known for. Up and at em.

Cool She is home……………

……………………. From the garage. Turns out the oil leak was from the oil filter. So they drained the oil and fitted a new filter with a new seal. All ok now with no leaks. And it didn’t cost me anything as the garage done the last oil change and they guarantee their work for 12 months.

Great result Bob,

Amazed it took a while to start leaking. But we all know you do your regular checks religiously and it pays off to spot something before you head off around the country [at 69.9 mph...]
