It will play all tracks on shuffle, but only if you throw them into one folder.
I'll tootle around with the different players, of which there are many till I find one that allows me to play all the folders on shuffle and remembers what you've already played and not start affresh every time you turn ignition on or off....
Its the small things.... I've been used to this function for years with my previous single din JVC.
Also....the equalizer is OK but not great...the Hikiplayer that Dave suggested has a much better EQ on it....you can really tweak the sound to your preference.
This App too will not play all the folders on shuffle.... so...the search goes on

Playlists also, it would be nice to have the ability to create a playlist or two.

Some of the apps cannot read the music on the external SD card, so I'm working on that. All good fun. Cracking unit, the problem is these days they do loads of stuff, not just like playing a cassette, how cool was that
Thanks to this forum though once we find something we'll all know.
Keep up the good work chaps.
The neighbors must think something weird is going on me back and forth to car sat there twiddling buttons

Have fun.

Rob, do you use a Android phone or tablet, if so its pretty much the same process as in selecting 'Settings' and 'Display' and so on.

You will have the option of a start-up logo, and a start-up animation logo, you can select both if you like. You can also select a wallpaper or a live moving wallpaper, or one of your very own photos as your background on the main screen.

You can even make your own animated start-up logo, but that will involve your PC and a piece of software. You can however download a logo animation app from the Playstore using the 2din, there are many apps available.

Selecting Start-up Logo.
1. Settings.
2. General.
3. Extra Settings.
4. Type 123456.
5. Logo Settings.

Selecting Wallpaper, Live Wallpaper & User Photo.
1. Settings.
2. Display.
3. Wallpaper.
4. You now have 3 options 1: Live Wallpapers which are animated, or 2: QuicPic Wallpaper which takes you into your own photo files to choose a personalized photo/image to set as background, or 3 Wallpapers which are several inbuilt stock images to choose from.

Selecting Start-up Animation Logo.
1. App Draw (4 coloured squares centre of screen).
2. Select the 'Boot Animation' app (this app comes pre-installed with 4 android animation screen logos).
3. Now select the desired animation logo.
4. Restart the double din.

You can download and add other animation logos from the Playstore and store them on the device, you will need to use the 'ES File Explorer' app that came pre-installed with the double din (you can also download the app from the Playstore).

Select file explorer and search the root of your SD card, locate the downloaded animation file you just downloaded and copy and paste it to the root of the SD card. Now go back and select the 'Boot Animation' app and you will see your newly downloaded boot animation logo, just select it and restart the double din... job done. This will be the same process when making your own animation boot logo screen, the file will need to be stored on SD card and you can use the 'Boot Animation' app to select/host it.

Rob, I remember you saying that you performed a factory reset a few weeks ago on the double din, this means you would have lost several of the pre-installed apps, the 'Boot Animation' app will be one of them. All you need to do is go into your app draw, select 'ES File Explorer' and then select the 'APK file, you will see a list of apps that will need to be installed (Boot Animation is one of them), just select install or download.

Here is my main Wallpaper at the moment, MG Black Oak.

I'm now off to have a cup of tea.

I dumped es file manager as I couldn't find the external SD card.

I know use this

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...us.filemanager

Its a bit fiddly but gives you more functionality.

Yes, I've also used that one Dave, but I found THIS ONE... slightly better as the built-in File Transfer was more user friendly. You can transfer files from your PC to your DD without removing the SD card, just sit in the car, or at your desk and with a few clicks transfer files through cyberspace.

The ES File Explorer that comes pre-loaded in the RunGrace unit needs to be updated, all you do is click on update when in PlayStore and you will have the NEW version of ES File Explorer which is so much better, or you can download it HERE...
