Insurance
Just renewed my insurance on Gruple with PBIS and it has cost me £140 for the year, and that includes breakdown and legal cover, so quite happy with that for the year, and it is only an increase of £5.70 from last year

Get this: I bought a 1.2 Dacia Sandero last month for my son to use when he's old enough. I bought the 1.2 because it's only group 2 insurance, yet they still wanted £50 extra to swap from my 75! Today, after fixing the non-start issue, I swapped the insurance back over and got a £15 refund, so... obviously the 75 must be group 1!

Peter Best? Is that on a Classic Policy? What are the restrictions and negatives of doing that please?

What is meant is that you do not earn any No claims bonus on classic car policies. I have been with Peter Best Insurance Services for around 10 year with my MGs, and you do not build up a no claims bonus and if my MGF or ZTs are damaged and written off, then they would pay the agreed value which I have with them, not what the insurance would value it at the time, Hope that helps Stu |

Would insuring with PB, mean I were tied to them as my insurers, because I could not move taking my no claims with me? Or would it mean that it simply would not get any cheaper with PB as the years progressed? Sorry, it is all new to me..

Harry You are only tied to them as long as you want to be, but if you choose to go with them then you will not get any no claims bonus and it would not get any cheaper year by year My insurance when up by £5.70 this year compared to last year, so no a great deal However, what I would class as normal insurance has gone up by around 10% year on year, due to government taxes, so in the long run, much cheaper Stu |
