Nice job Davey!
I will be interested in seeing how this works at the next nano meet. Tom.

To get the mount right was a bit tricky as it's curved around the side, but I got mine to fit perfectly. However, I've made mine so it can be removed without taking the double din fascia off as it's just secured by velcro and the headunit, I've placed it in the glove box. |

Do you get any sort of interference (like a hissing sort of noise) using the 3.5mm cable?

Also try using the Automatelt app.
In my personal opinion I think it is so much better than Tasker, and it's free. Tasker is just too complicated to use for it's own good. Whereas Automatelt does everything you want it to do. Give it a try and let me know, I'll share my triggers with you. As it is now this is how it works; When my tab receives a 12v power supply the following happens; 1. Wifi, GPS and BT on 2. Screen orientation locked to landscape 3. Wifi connects to my phone 4. When BT connects to the BT adapter, Spotify launches 5. Screen brightness 100% 6. Volume 100% 7. Screen timeout set to 23h59m59s All this happens within a couple of seconds. When there is no 12v power supply, all the above is reversed, with the addition of; 1. All apps are killed regardless of what state they are in 2. Screen timeout set to 5 seconds 3. After screen has timed out for 10 secs, an app launches in the background called Fast Reboot which silently restarts all services on tab and clears all RAM for next use so it's not laggy. I've also got a nifty little app called Black Screen Saver, where when you tap it it just turns the screen black and tap it again and it comes back on. I find it handy for night motorway runs.
