Default Earth point Rover 75 diesel tourer 2003

A member called Mark advised me about my disco rear lights. He went on to tell me it sounded like his problem and he cured it by making an earth connection good. I have examined the wiring and would like to know where does the off side rear cluster get its earth from. I know it sounds silly but I cant see where it comes/goes to

from memory on the tourer the are up near the wheel arches, which are a pain to get to. Might be worth running a temporary earth to the rear light and check it cures the problem
