Default I.C.E speaker issue

Hello all,

I have recently returned to the 75 fold (previously had a 2.0 V6), but have acquired a 54 plate CDTI Contemporary SE Tourer which is a super car. I have sorted out a couple of niggles with it but could with some advice on the following problem.

It has a hi-line I.C.E set up. Radio is fine, sound comes out of left and right speakers.

CD player only plays through RHS (driver side) speakers.
Tape player only plays through LHS (passenger side) speakers.

If someone could give me some pointers on where I should start to look to sort this out I would be very grateful.

Many thanks,

Mark S.

Silly question maybe, but have the settings been messed with so the CD has been set on full right, the tape full left and it's memorised these settings? I presume you have tried to move the balance around on the cd and tape playing?
Other than that, I can't help.

I did check the settings and they are standard so there is some sort of fault with the system. I will check out the boot for any signs of a problem there.

I would like to fix any issues before considering an upgrade!

Many thanks for the feedback,

Mark S.
