Talking Blue Number "Two"

As you may or may not know I work for MG, albeit as Sales manager for new dealership in Burton (new to us but not new to me as I worked for MGR many years ago)....you may remember a few months ago a slightly worn Rover 75 Diesel automatic came in part exchange for the bargain price of £200, MOT about out and a little rough in places it was and is a lovely car with stacks of history and every option asides the speaker upgrade.....resistance was futile.

Since then I have painted, serviced, refurbed, upgraded, chipped and made her into a stunning example I am very proud of and enjoy driving when its dry and sunny.

Well......the 75 is a diesel auto so a nice ZT V6 petrol manual would be a nice alternative yes????

When a well known club car was offered as part exchange against a newer MG for a good price I couldn't resist (again) plus we are an MG dealer and this is a MG so its a no brainer (that's what I told my boss anyhoo!)

So LM51OTA is a 2001 ZT 190+ in Trophy with Black and Grey Alcantara......(my 2nd choice over solar red)

Headlamp Wash
Harman Kardon (the only thing I was missing on the 75!)
Cruise
Parking Sensors
Folding Mirrors (retrofitted me thinks)
Hi Line Nav (removed and a Android Head-unit fitted)

She has covered just under 100k, although a new engine was fitted by MG at the factory at 40k under warranty so its done 59k on this unit

general condition is good, spaceace and tinyflier before him have really looked after it for the past few years, obviously shes 16 years old and has done some miles so has a few bits to do, mostly the wheels which are a bit untidy (being done next week), some lacquer peel on the boot, plus a few marks as you get with any car but the paint gleams and the interior is good asides the usual bobbly seats (I have a way to remove them) and worn drivers mat.

The belts are due on age and I think the thermostat is on its way but I will be contacting PhilT4 when the better weather comes so he can wave his magic wand over her, currently shes sorned and in the workshop sandwiched between a new MG3 and a GS so is in good company and will be taxed and used come April ready for POL possibly

The problem is now which to use, they are very different, this car has moto-build lowering springs which wouldn't be my choice as its a bit too firm for me but I am sure I will get used it it.

Taken today, she has been washed, clay-barred, polished, carpets and seats scrubbed (they were clean anyway), a good go round with the genuine touch up kit that spaceace kindly supplied and a few other bits and pieces (plus fitting our Mg dealer sticker to keep the powers that be happy, a club sticker is on its way and will also be on view).

Parts needed are a mint bootlid or I will need mine painted plus a nearside mirror cap and a rhodium grey climate control surround as I managed to scratch mine

Very nice, Trophy blue looks as good as any monogram when polished...

It's a great colour, although it seems to chip quite easily.
