Default Later MG diagnostic tools

Hi,

After my last 75 went and I moved to Chrysler I found Autel make some good tools (an md802 great advanced scanner - shame they will never support mgr as I bought a TF but no matter, even their tpms tools/sensors sorted the yanky wagon out brilliantly where other failed).

That said OH has a 1.8t 6. It has the crazy lights of doom and am loathed to pay £85+vat for an unknown mg dealer to have a play at what I suspect is probably an abs sensor. The question is - other than the £1k autel maxisys what can talk to it ?

Even better do any gurus here have the necessary kit to do so and/or possibly send the updates to the car modules as unsure if they have been done ?

Thanks ... This is a 2012 mg 6.

The trouble is these issues are beyond the scope of anything generic obd it's moaning about stability control, abs and tpms. Says to me it's abs related.

My snap on scanner will talk to it, not through a dedicated mg 6 program, but through a standard EOBD program, have done one before, it identifies the ecu (part number/serial number) then checks for the problem, I'm j2 m5 oldbury, pm me if you need to?

TOAF is only designed for the 75 & ZT Ken, the OP is talking about a 2012 MG6

My Snap-On Modis Ultra works fine on these so I reckon it might be worth you considering flying_pig's offer.

Thanks guys.

Will snap on talk to all the modules ?

Kennyth: well aware of diagnostics in general, played with many many mgr products just no saic ones !

It looks like most robust course of action is to begrudgingly pay for 1 trip to a dealer to get the updates at least (fairly sure there are at least 2, throttle and abs unsure if done). Then future call upon you guys for diagnosis knowledge here is great.

Just need someone capable of pushing the dealer connect updates to my Chrysler now haha darned if I'm going to a fiat/jeep dealer.

The T5 is out there, but not sure if the Dude behind VT-4 will be doing anything much for the later cars.
