That particular kit is a bit....cheap. It's okay for the odd thing, but the masonry bits aren't all that and will eventually snap, and the HSS bits...tend to unscrew themselves. The wood bits are as sharp as a Jeremy Kyle contestant (as in, they are blunt as anything) and the screwdriver bits will round off quickly.

Having said that, they are okay for small, light jobs and the case is handy and they are cheap for a lot of stuff. Just don't expect to build an house with them. Screwfix do some amazing things though. Their Quicksilver screws are brilliant! Cheap as anything but will withstand the abuse of driving them home without a pilot hole using an impact driver.

If they are anything like the tap and die set i got from screwfix I wouldn't bother. I think they were made of chocolate.

If you want a cheap wood bit set that it very high quality, will work as well as a professional wood bit set and last for years (if you dont snap any) the £1 set from Poundland is what you want.

I bought a set a few yrs ago thinking, at a quid, it was worth a punt before chucking the rubbishy things in the bin. I couldn't have been more wrong. I used the 4mm one to drill 2,000 hole on one job alone and it was as sharp at the end of the job as it was at the start. I have a few sets dotted around now and I've bought a few for mates in the trade. They like them too.
