Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

Great afternoon, after years of playing slightly strange folky stuff Ritchie Blackmore gave in to demand, returned to his rock roots and reformed Rainbow about 18 months ago, did three concerts last year, two in Germany and one in the UK. I had intended to go to a planned gig in Glasgow in June but I don't think I'm going to make it so I got the DVD of the German gigs, watching it now, brilliant. Granted he doesn't play as fast as he used to and he's strumming more than he did but he's over 70 years old now, still at the top of his game though.

The pub, 'The Slaughtered Lamb', which is featured in the film is only a couple of miles from here. Actually it wasn't a pub but a cottage with a nearby graveyard. The actual filming of the scenes inside the pub were filmed in London.

Evenin' all, What a day, 3 hours in Bolton hospital with dads appointment I'm sick o the sight of waiting rooms. The missus left at 8.30 ish this morning for London, I got a call from her at 4.45pm saying they're still not in the hotel, mix up or something! and they're now in a pub in Croydon Don't ask I've no idea

I'm going to have a hot bath & watch a film or two later. Gammon steak & jacket potato for tea.
