Default Millers or Forte?

that is the question.

Which do you prefer for your diesel engine and why?

I used Millers on my old Connie, and I felt it worked well. I got good MPG and for a diesel it felt smooth (to me, at least) I use the petrol variant on the V6 as well. I haven't used that enough yet to tell if it gives the same benefits.

Forte every time ! I first discovered it when I was a young MOT tester. We had a Rover 218d that failed on it's smoke test and our service manager had used Forte in the past so he ordered some and when it was delivered , we mixed it 50/50 with diesel, stuck the pipe from the injection pump into it and revved until it was nearly gone. We retested and it passed without any problem. Pure witchcraft ! I use it once a year and my 167,000 mile injectors start the engine instantly hot or cold.

In my opinion there is not much to choose between the cleaners, they are all based on a similar formulae. Yes they all work, if the problem is one which can be solved by a cleaner in the first place.

I treat mine once per year and the MOT smoke test results speaks for its self.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Forte is the one for me, I have seen dead injectors resurrected after a couple of months of use.

Forte every time as stated seen fantastic results from it. Millers is a good additive for filling up but Forte is in my opinion is yet to be bettered under £15.

I have used this too, admittedly I didn't use it on a Rover 75, I did however use it in a freelander Td4, I can honestly say I have no exact figures of cylinder balance, but it did sound smother on idle when injectors need to more closely balanced. It also appeared to iron out a small flat spot.
What I would say is at that price it's a decent option,

Good link Steve 👍
