For an imbecile- looking from the front which on is number four- do you count from left to right? All the old sparks looked very old but one seemed a bit wet, think it was the one furthest to left looking from the front of the car.
Thanks everyone for the help. |

Left to right, 1-4 either end plugs could be wet & a sign of img failure

So this morning slightly lumpy, nothing too bad for ten minutes or so then fine on run to work but for the first time the engine management light came on. Is in fact running perfectly well in terms of misfire at the moment.
Drive home is about ten miles- if light is still on should I risk that? Seems that its running fine, no horrible noises or alarming signs. Running at right temp etc. ( tried disconnecting the battery to see if it would clear but has come back on) Light goes off briefly at ignition but then straight back on. Advice welcome! |

I believe the EML lights up mainly in reponse to lambda outputs, so that would suggest there's still a combustion/sparks issue (?)

There definitely is, went a bit lumpy again before resolving. I'm beginning to think IMG but confused as to why it's so intermittent. I'll try and have a closer look over the weekend.
Thanks. |

I've been checking that after pretty much every journey, appears okay but had clearly been overfilled before I got it as its above the max level. Has been some liquid under the car, presumably from overflow? The HG was done not long ago, before I had it and whilst there's evidence of previous leaks doesn't look like anything new and running at correct temps.
Cheers. |

Right- the wires on the turbo injector( four wires coming out on top) are very brittle and one seems to be very loose. I suspect snapped but don't want to pull it! It's the pinky/ black one. Presumably this will mean the turbo injectors don't work properly/ consistently? That could well be the problem?
Can't see where the wires go on the other end? What do I need to do about that? Anyone know a good mobile sparky/ mechanic that can take a gander in coventry? Or any incredibly kindly soul? Thanks in advance. |

If so, that could be the cause of the warning light and the lumpy running. TC Last edited by T-Cut; 28th April 2017 at 16:32.. |
