Default Wheelarch liners (again)

Hi guys

I need to get the wheel arch liner off the driver side to look at the sunroof drain ends, my car has mudflaps, with screws that are sized and slightly rounded off, could I pull it back far enough with mudflaps still attached?

I have bought a new set of mudflaps but don't want to rip the old ones off as I would like swop them to the zt which hasn't any.

I think you can pull the liner back far enough, just did mine(not sunroof, just liners) because there is a rust trap behind I'll wager you'll find rust behind the mud flaps if you ever remove them

On the question of sunroof drains do you know how long they are from sunroof to exit behind the flap please?
I used a 5' length of curtain wire and pushed about 4'6" down it. Is this long enough to go the whole length?
Thank you.

Talking

Had the bottom pulley and very tired drive belts done today, and the technician had the arch liner and mud flaps off in a jiffy!

The sunroof drain was very full of silt, cut the end off and a bit of water drained out,

Jobs a good'un!

New mud-flaps to go on and calipers yet to be painted for Sunday plus a good wash and wax.

Do the facelift wheel arch liners cover less than the pre-project fitment?

If so are they a straight fit onto a later car ?

Not quite sure if this answers your question, but on my 1.8 Connie Mk2 (04 plate) the wheel arch liners end where the mudflap begins, but on the 2.0 diesel Connie (54 plate) the liner goes all the way down to where the bottom of the mudflap would be if any were fitted.
Not quite up to speed with the differences between facelift/prefacelift, project/preproject etc.
Hope this helps.
