Was able to achieve triggering of the light as per this thread below.

I eventually found It was possible trigger the coolant warning light on the low line IPK by inserting a wire and contact pin into empty socket on CO230-10 and grounding to earth, waited 20 seconds and the light illuminated.

Also tried to function the highline IPK but could not get anything to display even when toggling through the message centre screen.

I never noticed thread Lovel, but I remember there was another thread on the same subject, but several years ago.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

How many 1.8's could have been saved from HGF and Rover's reputation saved if they'd fitted one small sensor? Ship and ha'porth of tar springs to mind.

Just seen your message Gary

The lamps are individually enabled via T4 in lamp test screen .
I was just testing a T4 at the time

An audio overtemp alarm would be the most useful mod to any car.
A lamp may not be seen in bright sunshine.

Think how many engines could be saved but of course manufacturers would have no interest in that !!!

OK thanks Jules. I never really navigated through the IPK with T4 too much so was not aware of this. However main thing is that I have proven the light on the low line IPK is enabled on pin 10 if you short to ground for more than 20 seconds. Audio would be better, but at least I will be better off with the lamp than nothing at all.
