Shows how long it is since you visited the zone, you've forgotten Derek's wife's name. Which happens to be Lillian, not Marion.

What a lovely day. A couple of hours on the motorbike, sitting here at home now having a beer, mash ,sausage and peas later for tea. Long may this brief improvement in weather continue.

Had a rather enjoyable, peaceful day. We've had no electricity from 8.31am until 3.45pm - a pre-arranged power cut for sub station renewal.

No TV, no kettles boiling, no broadband, no emails. We went out at lunchtime for a fish and chip lunch - sat in a car park watching the North Sea and a few 'windmills whilst eating it (still a bit fresh to be sitting on the beach!).

Once we got power back, Virgin Media had problems - so no broadband or TV for another 3/4 of an hour.

Off to the grandaughter's 6th birthday do now - and then off to the Club for a few games of snooker and a drop or two of apple juice
