Has anyone got an obd scanner to work with these units, tried mine with a couple of apps and I can get it to pair via Bluetooth but I keep getting it scanning the ports and not connecting to get any info on screen ?

Thanks

Yes, with torque pro and a cheapy elm clone.

I don't get everything as its a 2000 diesel son not fully obd2 compliant but get quite a lot.

Try a 1.4 OBC unit, I seem to remember someone posting on these forums that the later units don't always work well.

Regarding the Torque app for a diesel, is there any reall benefit in upgrading to the Pro version?

Yes there is but for the life of me I cant remember why! Its was definitely functional rather something cosmetic.

I think I paid about 3e to upgrade

Finally got around to fitting my USB lead the the dashboard...

That is a USB memory sitck plugged in and tried a few music videos on it and it seems to play all formats so far.

Made a bit of hash of cutting out the hole but it works and I have a spare front piece to have another attempt.

Just got to figure out how to tether my phone to the unit (it's a new phone too so have to learn about that first). Might think about a 3G donlge for it instead of my PAYG phone.

@Spinter...

You can buy a flush mount USB with RCA & 3.5mm extension cable to extend the USB connection, just turn the mount horizontal and mount it as you would a switch.

Clicky Me...

... or round version HERE...

You can also buy round fitment with HDMI conversion. HERE...

They all plug into the rear USB input on the RunGrace unit, you can also use the red/white audio RCA's.
