As the OP originally asked why the 1.8T's were disappearing, the engines propensity for needing a head gasket every 40,000 miles, which nearly always takes the turbo with it at the same time, which leads to repair bills of up to £1,000 every time, is maybe something to do with it's popularity. But of course if you post anything on here that is slightly different to the crowd on here that can't see the faults of these great cars, you're accused of being a troll (or worse). I shall post no more on the subject.

Well I suppose only you know what you meant and how you meant it whilst posting. Personally i thought it was a rude and abrasive post.
