Default Hi Guys Mr Edd in Florida

Long time no see... Nice to be back and hope everyone is okay.

I am about to rebuild my 1996 Ford Ranger Splash Truck. I want to paint it with the multi colour stuff I remember seeing on Jim's MG when we went on excursions back over the pond. Anyone guide me as to where I can get the paint and select the correct paint name.

I will be back in the appropriate forum once I find it again.

Edd in Florida

Hi Eddie,

That would be one of the Monogram special range of paints, some of the range changed colour and are called Chromactive and were made by ICI / Dupont for Rover!

I cannot help with where you can buy it from in the States apart from try The house of Kolor? The ICI car paint side is now owned by PPG so you could try them and also Dupont themselves?

Look here for the colour you want? http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=20831

Hope that helps.

Tom.

How dare you Ed, my MG was actually a Rover .

Seriously though great to hear from you, hope you and your good lady are doing well.

My 75 V8 was in Monogram Chromactive Poseidon, MGR paint code IAW. Rather a coincidence when part of it was re-spayed during 2011 the body shop had to order the paint from the USA.

Here's a picture of the beast in question:-

Best regards
Jim

Hi Edd

Weirdly I was wondering recently how you were doing, the thought prompted by a thread on Prescott Hillclimb French Weekend and I recalled you always seemed to post pictures of the can can girls.

Well it's 2017 now and still no sign of EDD.

Not like him really to say he'd be back but not look in again since last August.

Hope he's OK as he is knocking on a bit.---
