Default 75 CDT Connoisseur SE Tourer manual (Personal Line)

I bought this yesterday, before the scrap man's grab got to it...

It's had a clutch and dual mass flywheel previously (invoice to prove), but the slave appears to be leaking again, hence why it was being scrapped . So the intention was to use it for spares, but having given it a wash today and had a look over it, it may well make an ideal project car for someone.

It's covered 179k but is an early example and is fitted with Neptune blue Personal Line leather and a few nice factory extras, has two keys and an almost complete service history (Rover service book and plenty of bills, plus some old MOT's, tax discs and the original radio security card).

Body has various small dings & scatches (nothing too major) and it'll need some bits for the MOT, but it just seems a real shame to see it go in the crusher...

Factory extras include:
Neptune Blue Personal Line leather interior.
Powerfold Bullet mirrors with smooth finish switch pack.
Side curtain airbags.
Headlamp powerwash.
Traction control.
Self levelling rear suspension (early 60mm diameter dampers).

The original walnut dash is also present and in good condition, as is the early boot tools storage foams with central storage tray & tools, and a fixed towbar. Rear tyres look almost new whilst the fronts are approximately half worn.

A quick look underneath has shown it'll need a new exhaust back box, but the sills are solid with no obvious signs of any rust starting and the upper rear suspension arms look like new !! (lowers have some surface rust, but not serious). N/S front tyre went flat overnight and it'll need a spare wheel, a battery and a load cover (these were all missing yesterday unfortunately).

It drove on and off the transporter yesterday, selecting gear ok, but clutch pedal has very little feel today so may need a bleed to make it temporarily mobile. No MOT but may be able to help out with transportation at additional cost.

PLEASE REMEMBER - this is a £300 project car needing repairs. It has a failed clutch and will need other repairs to make it safe and roadworthy. Hence, I DO NOT advise that it is driven away on the public road. You are very welcome to arrange your own transportation, but this car weighs around 1600kg and I WILL NOT release it to any collection agent that cannot prove their transporter is legally capable of carrying this much weight (e.g. 3.5T Transits, Sprinters, Movanos, etc. will be turned away).

£300
