Ken.
Because he gets left some distance in the rear view mirror in national speed limit sections and storms up in the rear view mirror soon after passing the 30 sign!

At night when approaching drivers switch to main beam a second before they become level with me and there is no time to return the complement
Wait until you have passed me!

Legal limit is 60, but many companies set the speed limiter on these vehicles to 56mph for economy.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Leaving an automatic in drive when stood can eventually damage the gearbox. Neutral and hand brake better.

Learners are taught not to use indicators while pulling out to pass parked vehicles in case this is taken as intention to turn right or use left indicate when passed the parked vehicle in case it's taken as intention to stop or turn left.

The big one for me and you see it every day, drivers reversing using door mirrors in supermarket car parks, they will run a small child over one day.

Taxi drivers who think they are fantastic drivers in fact most of them are a danger to all road users..

Back on track the MOT thing about covers makes no sense..
I agree with the use of handbrake, in manual or auto.

I give a brief signal, if I have to pull out wide, especially if there is traffic coming towards me as a warning to them.

Reversing on mirrors is sometimes the only way, especially in a van and the 75 - because mirrors show more than looking.

I believe the 56 thing was an EU initiative.

All the companies l work for set at 56 or less. A couple 52 though one reset back to 56 as the Purfleet/Warrington trunks were often not getting back in the legal driving time.
You'll see very few lorries cruising at 60 (unless downhill), hardly any at all. Even the continental trucks are mostly down to the mid-fifties now. Some of the Irish wagons can still press on but it's a relative rarity.

Can anyone tell me how a difference of 4MPH would actually work?

Hi HarryM1BYT,

Not looking over your shoulders when reversing is a driving test fail, that's why you are allowed to remove your seat belt on any reverse maneuver.. good observations..

If your in a van then check the back of your vehicle or ask for assistance yet no van drivers do..

You see plenty of women in 4 x 4's hammering back at supermarkets never check behind..that was my point really.
