Thanks Paul,

Toned this version down a little as I think I might have gone a little OTT with the other edit

If your happy with that Jeff, then I am happy as well. One of the Mac edits I use, enables exposure to be brushed in, using light or dark strokes, plus non-destructive in its use. I suspect you also have such a tool to hand (not Lightroom and not Photoshop)

Hi Phil,

Apart from Lightroom I use the Nik collection plug ins which is all the editing I need for my requirements

Understood Jeff. Not everyone appreciates the value of HDR, but I think it's quite effective when a subject is not over cooked and spoiled by it

It gets a good kicking at camera club and with the judges so my playing is for my own personal consumption lol

Just for comparison, here is a non HDR version

I prefer the evening light you brought out from the windmill through HDR, the impact of this is missed in the original. I blew up your photo Jeff and there is a lot going on in it. To the right, a top of a cabin cruiser/yacht can be seen and none of the roofs of the houses in the background have any satellite dishes on them. Mmmm a certain old world charm, adds to your photo
