Nearly three decades a car was just a mean of transportation for me. I owned Nissans, Fords, Opels, Volvos. I liked them all but I never loved one of them. Two and a half years ago I bought my 75 and something changed. I really love this car, I care about her, I always keep her clean, I upgrade her, I enjoy every mile with her on the road. Yes, "Roveritis" is a good expression for this phenomenon. And I suppose the syndrome is incurable.

I was never interested in cars until I had a lift in a Rover 75.

I was never passionate about any car until I owned a Rover 75.

Says it all...

Glad I not the only ! one got in the car yesterday after doing a temp gauge mod and though I love this car ,love doing the mods next one headlight halos and extra projector lens , It is so good to drive, relaxing ,auto, lovely engine note from the v6.Way back when they came out new ,I knew I wanted one ,but way out of my reach ,then 2012 made redundant ,took early retirement and brought a Rover 75 touer auto. bargain £1300, in white gold just lovely to look at and been enjoying it ever since

Well i spent six hours yesterday getting the tar and grime off my 75 yesterday .

Stood back and thought there is no way this car looks 13 years old .

Also looking forward to a club section we have at the Borders Vintage meet next sunday .

So shhhhhhh .

Keep them a Rover secret.

Mine is 15 years old....but looks as good as new!

Hard to believe when you compare them to cars of similar age that look like heaps of junk held together with rust.

My neighbour keeps looking at mine.....yes, Ive seen you

In the past I was never too interested in owning/running a car
sat and passed my test 2 (and a bit) years ago - for work - I was always happy cycling before

when i started looking for a car to purchase, i was initially thinking along the lines of buying a car cheap enough that if it would run for even a year, it would be be financially viable

the 75 caught my eye and i didn't really want to consider any other cars
since buying the car my attitude has changed a wee bit i want to keep this car on the road for ever - regardless of the cost - had her 7 months now and fixed a good few issues so far, and look forward to getting a few other bits and pieces sorted - i've done 10,000 miles so far........looking forward to getting more bits sorted and many more miles driven

Paul........
