Default Reverse camera set up to Navall 3

Hi all.

Trying to install a rear view/reversing camera on my R75 saloon for use with my Navall 3. Have connected as follows;
Red connector leads (red to reverse lights supply, black to earth)
Yellow video cable (main lead to brown 'Rear Camera' lead in group of plugs at head unit, and red 'trigger' wire at camera end to pink lead at head unit).

Select reverse gear and nothing.

Do I need to activate something in the Navall settings?

Have I wired it incorrectly?

I think the pink needs to go to the reverse switch wire...

This is the reverse signal wire, from the ABS unit.

Do you mean to connect it to the same feed wire to the reverse lights that I have used for the power supply to the camera?

Hi Dave T,

Thanks for you reply but the wiring shown in your pictures if different to that on my car. I have the single 17 pin connector that I have fitted the ISO adaptor to for fitting to the Navall unit.

All sorted.

As Klarzy suggested......took feed from reverse lights supply to pink wire from head unit and hey-presto. ...screen changes to camera view when reverse selected.

Job done.

Cheers and merry Christmas all.

That's what i did, but i am interested to now find out there was a reverse signal right behind the head unit all along. (The grey/green) have i understood correctly?

Glad it's sorted.

Just for info.

Plug 5 will still be there, somewhere behind the head unit even with the BMW plug.
Plug 5 is used for the Sat Nav abs signal and is fitted as standard to both early and late 75's and ZT's

Brown/green is the 12volt reverese light cable I believe, not grey/green

Perhaps Dave could confirm this. It certainly looks brown/green in the photo.

Is that plug 5 un-used on cars without the hiline setup? Wish i had known about it before i pulled up all my carpet strips to route a wire through from the boot. But dont remember seeing any empty plugs hiding in there.

If it is unused i would probably prefer to just get the mating connector and plug it in rather than cutting the wires.
