Unhappy 75 2.0 cdt auto 2001 engine cuts out

Hi All,
Hope my nasty experiance can help members.
Engine starts and runs fine but then cuts out after varying distances, eventally
wouldnt start,GREEN FLAG man checked for faults with diagnostic computer
but nothing showed, checked relays and thought engine managment relay was suspect so changed two over. Car did 2 trips of 6 miles fine but then wont start. Having kept both drain tubes clear didnt think water was a problem but not being sure looked on forum and found info on lower drain holes/tubes.Also found about 2gallons of water in the plenum chamber. pollen filter never been changed and full of muck/sludge,
Car now in garage,ECU being sent for repair.dreading this bill coming in. Just had tank pumps replaced at 65000 miles £550.

So its vital to keep all drain pipes clear.

Im still learning how to post etc so excuse if this is in wrong place.

bad luck but good advise; checking costs nothing. Hopefully your new ECU will bring things back to life.
