accidentally deleted files from a USB drive
any way I can retrieve? from a USB stick
they are not in the recycle bin and I've screwed up badly....perhaps |

Yes, but you need some software. Additionally, don't use the USB Stick until you've tried to retrieve.
Try googling "undelete software" |

If you send it for recovery it will be very expensive.
If you purchase a Half decent program, you may recover some/most of it. As Tatts said, plus do not recover to the USB stick, or you will loose most of your stuff, as it rewrites over yours! |

thanks all. I just need to remember now that this is a big disadvantage of keeping a stick with all my files on it! (no safety net) I cant treat it quite like I did when stuff was on a computer...
