Default 2002 MG ZT-T+ 190 estate, V6 2.5 petrol - Trophy Yellow **SOLD**

As the children have finally left home and I don't need a big car any more, decided it's time to sell my beloved Trophy Yellow ZT-T+ 190 estate (although I’m not sure why when it’s running so well!). I bought it new on 18 April 2002.

+ Ready to drive away and thoroughly enjoy!
+ 2002 MG ZT-T + 190 in Trophy Yellow (code: FAR). Longbridge built.
+ V6 / 2.5 litre petrol.
+ 190 ps KV6, 5 speed manual.
+ 128,039 miles (at 5 June 2014).
+ 02 plate – bought new 18 April 2002.
+ Car drives wonderfully.
+ Clutch, steering, suspension and brakes all good.
+ Starts first time.
+ MOT runs until 18 April 2015 (so, still over 10 months to go). No advisories.
+ Taxed till 31 March 2015.
+ Full service history - 13,750 miles to next service.
+ Serviced, with oil change etc - 11 April 2014.
+ Four new tyres fitted 30 April 2014.
+ Never pranged.
+ 32.1 mpg.
+ If anything has ever needed fixing, it's been done by Mantles Royston / Biggleswade, who supplied the car. Receipts for everything.
+ Bodywork and wheels really good. Front bumper and bonnet resprayed by Mantles when I got fed up of trying to polish out stone chips. No rust.
+ 18" 'Straights' alloys (refurbed May 2013) with original centre caps and new tyres.
+ Footwells and spare wheel well dry - no water ingress.
+ 'Longlife' Stainless steel exhaust fitted January 2013 - full system from CAT to tailpipe. I deliberately chose a system which has no affect on performance so as not to upset the insurance industry. Oval tail-pipe.
+ All engine belts replaced as required - the cam belt 14 months ago.
+ Head gaskets, thermostat and water pump all replaced - so no water, oil or other leaks.
+ Brake parts renewed as and when required.
+ Xenon self-levelling headlights, roof rails, heated front seats, airbags (including side head impact), power steering, alarm, immobiliser, remote central locking, front fog lamps and all the usual extras that came with the '+' model, including the excellent driver info pack (rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming rear view mirror and message centre), 6 disc CD auto-changer, headlamp power wash, all-round electric windows and original style electric door mirrors. All work - as does everything on the car.
+ Rear parking sensors, factory fitted - and working.
+ Interior is very good and clean - and never smoked in.
+ Standard WSQ trim - nice shades of grey and seats with ash grey plastic bolsters, with yellow stitching, and blue and yellow woven patterned fabric down the middle (code: WSD). The driver's seat is worn on one side.
+ The grey carpets always protected by floor mats.
+ ATC dual zone climate control (including rear passenger vents) - fully working.
+ Tailgate remote switch.
+ Horizontal tonneau and vertical load restraint net cassette system.
+ Space saver spare wheel - unused.
+ Under floor storage tray in boot.
+ 60/40 split folding rear seats have a ski hole.
+ Full handbook set with service stamps.
+ Two sets of keys.

+ Yellow! Never gets lost in a car park! Has 'presence' on the road - but people don't stare at it or its occupants. As yellows go, MG's Trophy Yellow was always one of the best yellows and looks visually better on the ZT-T estate than the saloon. And as MG ZT-Ts go it's very rare.

+ I live in south Cambridgeshire. Within reason, happy to meet you at some halfway point... if you're serious, of course.

Because of its colour, it's a very rare model. Because it's in tip-top condition and wonderfully reliable thanks to regular servicing and parts being replaced as necessary - because it's got a long MOT, was recently serviced and has 10 months' tax still to run and because it's your opportunity to own an MG ZT-T+ 190 which really is different, without having questionable power mods, the asking price is £3,750.00.

It might be a rare colour, but I'm not sure it adds value! Though I hope it does, it'll make my car a sound investment which would be good news. Then I can tell the wife it's not the waste of money she thinks iit is. Good luck, I hope you don't regret selling it, you know you'll miss it.

Thanks, Yossarian - there's always a tipping point with price... but why make it a give-away?

Default 2002 MG ZT-T+ 190 estate, V6 2.5 petrol - Trophy Yellow (which makes it very rare)

Thanks everyone for your comments so far.

Yellow being rare? I've only seen a couple of ZT-Ts and perhaps half-a-dozen ZTs in the last 12 years, so it can't be that common a colour - which, relatively speaking, the ZS and (especially) the ZR are.

I'd love to know how many Trophy Yellow ZT-Ts were made - does any know?

Regards,

Peter Mann
