Default torque judder

i am getting a judder from the car if i accelerate, especially at 60 plus...

runs fine and smooth otherwise...

i have a powerflex bottom mount and i wonder if this is too stiff...

it makes the rear of the car vibrate and the steering judder...

if not the mount then i will check the bottom bushes and ns cv as the other one is new...

any other suggestions...?

I had such judder for some while. It started on acceleration from well below 60 mph.
In my case it was the RH drive shaft inner CV joint but I get it you have replaced that one.
I've had the powerflex lower mount for 2 years and apart from slightly increased vibration it hasn't caused any other issues.

I also have a judder/wobble when accelrating in 2rd (most noticeable) i think its down to a worn driveshaft/C.V but as its not got any worse i haven't bothered looking

Its barely noticeable in real terms but i feel it from time to time, i too have polybushed engine mount/ARB's and lower wishbones and it was present before fitting all those and hasnt changed since so i think you can rule those out Pete!

Is it ONLY when you accelerate ????

Out of balance wheels tend to kick in around the 65 to 70 mark.

What happened to it? I thought you had already replaced it.

When I replaced mine, I only did the inner shaft which was all I got. I had wished I had a spare 'tri-lobe bearing' at hand for a spare but fortunately it was in great condition. The car has done 290k km and I replaced the inner shaft with one from a 125k km car.

no, replaced the outer CV on the other side....

chain reaction I spose...

Gearbox goes noisy so do that,
hen I can hear the outer CV on the NS so do that and clean / re grease the inner CV on that side.

Then on the way to the airport Monday I get a judder under load (fine on roll along)

then on the way home this morning boom boom boom under load so coasted very carefully home and started eliminating joints and bushes until found this... new shaft sourced and to be collected... you cant buy the bits...

shame, would probably have cost a fiver...

That's better, I can relax now...
