Good news for you then - you can turn the beep off yourself!

A quick forum search says "ATC on, press and hold the Auto and Off buttons together for around 10 seconds until it beeps".

Although mine stop when I'm stationary, they still do the occasional wipe if I'm stopped for any length of time.

Never owned or driven a car where I have to push the fob three times before the boot/tailgate is unlocked. I know I've not had my ZTT long but I doubt I'll ever get used to it.

That said, I wouldn't go to the effort of paying someone to change it to 'normal' operation.

...and aside from the other moans which i mostly concur with, what the heck was happening at Rover in 2005 when they were still building cars with a tape cassette as standard? All very well having a CD changer in the boot but really, who wants to keep delving behind panels and pulling out the CD magazine to reload it every so often? Even my 1998 Escorts had CD drives as standard.

Default Auto "stop" wipers

They don't actually stop - they go down one speed setting. So if you have them on Fast they don't stop they go down to Normal speed.

If you are on normal they go to Intermittent - hence the occaisional wipe.

For me - I think this feature is barmy - but get round it now by having the Intermittent speed permanently set at its fastest rate. This way when you stop in the rain the wipers still do what they are supposed to do with the minimum delay

This will have to do until I can get a T4 session (a 160 remap has been on the cards for a while now)

Three times is odd I think - my ZTT is two - once for the drivers door and once again for the other doors and the tailgate. If yours is three then maybe that is an option setting a previous owner had done.

As I said earlier the one blip drivers door only was a safety feature for when getting into the car in dark places where muggers might be lurking. Not a nice thought to get into the safety of your car only to find scumbags have seen you unlock and got in with you. Hence my old company disabling the central locking for some drivers where a less sophisticated set up opened all the doors.

Land Rover was the same (not surprisingly I suppose) - tho the multi disc player was under the drivers seat on my old Discovery - which was great if you did serious off-roading

But then - they put the ECU under the passenger seat !!!!

Firstly the pesky rear window demister light coming on below 10'c, so hard to keep turning off......

I like the single unlock of the driver's door as there is only me so not a problem.

The wipers stopping when I'm stationary at a junction, it's the only car that I have ever had do this, doesn't bother me.

But my main gripe is the lousy automatic gearbox, learns how you drive, really!
Does my head in sticks into fifth when going up hills then the car labours until it knocks down again.
If I could have a different automatic gearbox, I would have it changed.
Unfortunately I cannot drive a manual car anymore, so have to put up with it!

Not driven an auto version of "our" cars but plenty of other autos - and they all had an easy knock down from what was the overdrive top ratio to the lower gear. Do our cars not have this?
