Default M3-100

Hi all!

I did a search but did not find anything on this issue. I've got a M3-100 head unit in my car. It is indicated that this HU should read mp3 files but it doesn't unfortunatelly. So the question. Did any one deal with such HU and is it possible to install in it any kind of mp3 or i-pod adapter. Many thanks in advance.

M3-100? That's not something I recognise as one of the original-specced stereos in the car. Is it an aftermarket one you have fitted yourself or did it come with car when you bough it? Does it give any indication as to who made it?

Ah - I see. Thanks John. So the next question is - Does your CD player play normal CD's or not? Some mp3 players don't like the mp3's inside folders so have you tried just playing a CD with mp3's but only in the root directory of the disk?

See Update to My post re this Player MP3 Conditions to Work (Very Critical)
As with other Models in Range, does become unreliable at times.
Only reads from Disc in Head Unit NOT from CD Multi Player for display Purposes.
Press the DISPLAY button continuously to get the ID of Tracks etc, this button is multi Functional.

Dear Simon,

My CD plays normal audio CD, but unfortunatelly doesn't play mp3 discs. Thank you for your advice. I'll try to play the disk with all the files in the root directory. But still do you know what device may be pluged into AUX IN? Many thanks.

This AUX IN is for any External Audio Devices.
It has to be Turned On/Off as Required for use.

Press the MENU Button for 2 Seconds.
Twist and release the Rotary Button till AUX IN is displayed.
Press the MENU Button to Confirm the Function
Twist and release the Rotary Control to Left or Right to select "Aux In On" or Aux In Off"
Press and hold the Memory Button to Store the setting.

Thanks a lot John, I'll try. But sorry, i'm a beginner in such technical things, could you please advice what devices may be pluged to AUX IN? MP3-players, or what. May you recomend something? I want to make something new with my sound system. Many thanks,

Regards,
Andrey
