Well as a quick guide, owners of Discovery's and L322 Range Rovers, normally ditch the factory air suspension to replace with coil springs.

Enough said really

The lad next door had air suspension fitted to his brand new Vauxhall Corsa, he had nothing but problems with it and went through 2 compressors in 3 years.

Just make sure the front wheels are straight before you "slam it" to the ground or you will end up with bent front wings like he did ...

Oh, when it got to 3 years old the MOT guy failed it on half a dozen points - all to do with the air suspension, but they passed the retro fitted ultra bright Xenon headlamps though ...

I most certainly do, and used it on Tuesday to pick up my dad's newly refurbished wheels for his tourer.

On the occasions I do drive it, I'm reminded how much more space it has inside compared to the ZT, and how light and airy it feels, not to mention the fact it's not riddled with blind spots.

I'm looking forward to it becoming my daily driver, once they stop salting the roads

You are right. Rover had the nicest paints and wheels and the reds never fade unlike other makes. M.

The R8 is probably one of the best Rovers because it is roomy and easy to drive and came in a few different styles. M.

As an ex owner of an L322 they ride like a magic carpet with the standard air set up. Really awesome car to drive. People convert them to springs when the airsuspension parts fail as they are costly to replace or in the case of the discovery, to mod them for proper off road use. Mine failed due to a faulty compressor and was quoted silly money for a replacement. Ended up buying a new aftermarket piston ring for the compressor from eBay and sorting it myself. £17.99 all in instead of £500
Cars with a decent air set up will give 100% better comoft ride than sprung cars, fact
