Update !!! Done what was recommended & car drove well until today 😡Car was fine this morning then all of a sudden loss of power Usually if I leave it for short period it will start & drive fine !!Ive left car over 5 hrs & still no power I'm gettin peeed off with car now 😡Anyone any suggestions ?

The connection onto the common rail can also give an intermittent problem.

That can be found under the engine cover adjacent to the plug in Brian's picture.

A EGR sticking open will also give power problems, this is usually accompanied with lots of smoke though.

Hi Mark.
Check the connection on top of the under bonnet fuel pump, remove it and clean it making sure it is a tight fit, also is the UBP buzzing loud tap it with a screw driver handle while someone tries to start the car it maybe sticking if so a new one maybe needed.

Remove the engine cover and check fuel rail connection you can both the UBP and rail connections in the pics below.
