Default ZTT rear camera how to open boot

Hi I am waiting on a tourer rear camera to be delivered and looking at pics it looks like the camera sits over the boot button, can anyone shed any light on this ?

Thanks

Will try and get a picture later, but I used a sedan one with the lenses for the number plate lights. I cut a large notch out of the one plastic piece and it still allows easy access to the button.

If memory serves, I did have to drill a hole in the bodywork for the wires.

Craig.

This is how I fited both my reversing camera and rear DVR camera.Treaded the wires through the tailgat hole for the number plate lights then just screwed them into just belowe where the plastic part of the lighs. When the tailgate is closed you can hardly see them .Will put a photo looking up at them so you can see what I mean.
The one in the middle is the reversing camera and the one you can just see to the right of it is the rear dvr camera.

Hope this will give you some idea of one way to fite one.

And can you still get access to press the lock button as from looking at the tourer cameras I thought they would cover the button

I bought one from Sean,Radioguy via Jeff(Coolcat) it's specifically designed for the 75/ZT and as Craig says, replaces the number plate lamp cover. You need to remove the boot plinth, and drill a hole large enough to push the cable through, I drilled it in the centre above the lock button . If it's a wireless one , then the transmitter will sit in the tailgate but you need to run the wires behind the windscreen trim and through the rubber seal at the top to go to the reverse light wire behind the boot trim. There is quite a bit to take off to do the job, but it's not hard. There is an Earth point behind the boot trim on the offside.
Even mounted on the number plate lens the camera will still give a central view.

Yes I can still get to the tailgate button with no trouble at all, and I use the tailgate quit a lot. I Put my wifes wheelchair in every time we go out.

Will put a close up photo on tomorrow, so you can see. Let me know and I'll take one .

Thanks to everyone for setting me straight on this I was sure that the camera would block the release button, waiting patiently for the delivery now.

Thanks very much for these, for some reason I thought the camera sat further forward and covered the button, but these show I was worried about nothing, on a side note just finished half stripping my brothers ZTT for scrapping, and that helped with seeing where the mounting and routing the camera unit will be.

Thanks
