There you go! How's that for customer service!

A no messing refund or replace approach. Can't say fairer than that can you?

Of course you was really lucky...

Forgive me, too many posts to scroll for a solution. Is there a way, using the SWC screen to get the radio to power up using a steering wheel switch? I did have it working but it may have been a quirk/fault with the micro switches.
Cheers.

Every time I see this in the activity stream I get excited thinking it's back again..... and as there are 19 pages, that's a lot of moments of excitement

Unfortunately, it's also a lot of will you never learn.... LOL

No I was away from the forum when Dallas originally posted it so was waaay too late despite checking out TLB for a couple of weeks after

Select the 'Steering Wheel Control' app, and then select the 'Power' option and assign the chosen button on your steering wheel.
Remember to select 'Start' to begin the process, and 'End' once finished.

It would be interesting to see the deal repeated again, its worth checking other brands/models, you never know.

Yep, done that, and it will power down, what I thought was that the same control would power it up too...but it doesn't

Just a quick update all...
LITB refunded me everything bar the £5 insurance cover I took out.
It's a little long winded how they do it...but their communication and replys were courteous and prompt.
A welcome and pleasent surprise as like many, I thought I'd be up the creek as regards a refund.

Just keep your eye....and nose, on that headunit!!!!!

Really excellent news and just what should expect from a good retailer.

Gives considerably more confidence for anyone investigating some of the more expensive unit's available for reasonable prices on the LITB web site.

Thanks for the update Yam, both mine are working OK. One of the chaps on another thread mentioned a music player app called Rocket Player. Downloaded it today and bingo! it plays all tracks on shuffle. So if you fix yours Yam or get another try Rocket Player.

Does anyone have problems with Google maps, it works fine if I install it from the apk that's already on the unit but if you update it to the latest version it just freezes and closes, shame really as I like Google maps.

I've not used Google Maps for sometime now, it worked fine when I did though.

Many android users find system crashes with GM after certain updates, sometimes its a bug, or a incompatibility issue after the update, or a change in settings is all that is required.

Have you tried restarting the app, clearing the cache etc. What about uninstalling GM, and reinstalling the app from the PlayStore?
