Hi Mark,

She is a very handsome looking boat indeed and looks in lovely condition

Having read forums etc and also the great advice yourself and others have posted I think we have decided on an outboard engine as the way to go.
Not least due to the ease of maintenance and servicing but also things like removing stuff stuck round the prop etc seems an altogether easier task.

The only downside seems to be the lack of petrol sold on the broads but it wouldn't be much of a hardship to bring it along with us in the car and fill up when we arrive.

We won't discount inboard diesel engines but I think the outboard will be our preference .

Also been reading more and more good things about the Viking range of craft so especially looking at those as well.

Once again thanks for all your help everyone and Ros and I hope to go and view some craft and mooring locations in the near future.
In the meanwhile we will keep looking and reading and gaining further insight into boating life on the Broads

Ive never heard of the engine make, any ideas on how good they are ?
