Boot lock for Mk I R75
Does anyone have a spare boot lock in working order, please? I need one to dismantle to repair mine.
Not sure whether they are all the same, but my car is a R75 2.0 Connoisseur Mark I. Thanks, Charles. |

Is your boot lock just spinning round when key is turned?

Yes. I had this problem once before and solved it by buying another lock and swapping over the part which had broken, following a how-to on this site. It lasted 3 years but now needs doing again. Since posting, I have managed to track down another spare lock on eBay so I'll close this thread (or would if I knew how to!). Thanks for responding.

Many thanks for that, Dallas! I'll give it a go as soon as I have time. Dismantling the lock and replacing the alloy part was certainly a fiddle, so it will be good not to have to do it again, not to mention the hassle and expense of buying another lock!
