Clutch noise V6
Hi fellow ZT/75 owners. I've got a ZT 190+ manual. Over the last couple of days i've noticed that when I depress the clutch there is a whining noise and i can feel it through the peddle, once the car is warm it stops.
I've checked the clutch peddle travel before the "bite" and there's plenty left on the clutch (before halfway.) I don't know if this has anything to do with it too, but when i press the clutch in the engine over revs too. (also when cold) Any ideas please guys? Thanks in advance. |

Thanks.
I've managed to source a new csc. it's a job i really don't fancy doing myself though. Any idea of a ball park figure to do the job for me at a garage?
Thanks Pete. |

Although you've already got the CSC, it's a wise idea to remove the clutch whilst the box is out & inspect even though you feel that the bite point is good.
Also check the DMF. It's a lot of work & you don't want to have to it twice! |

What make of CSC have you bought ? - LUK or the Tazu metal slave are the favoured ones on this forum. As has been pointed it, it can be false economy not to change the clutch pressure/driven plate at the same time as doing the slave - a Borg and Beck 2-part clutch kit can be bought for about 70 pounds online, and is good quality. I've had a couple of quotes. one at £970, second at £500 and third at £375. That's for a full clutch, slave and master replacement. I think we can guess the winner lol.
Once again thanks guys. |

Job done
Got my beast back today. It was the csc that had gone, as suggested I had the clutch done too, all for the cheap price of £375. Thanks guys for the advice black beauty lives to ride again. Hopefully for another 126000 miles on a clutch
